Trevor Lawrence QB Jacksonville Jaguars

Round 1 Pick 1 ( 1st Overall)

Trevor Lawrence is a 6’5 215 pound Quarterback out of the University of Clemson. Lawrence has spent three seasons at Clemson where he was 34-2 as a starter. He completed 758 of 1138 passes (66.6% completion rate) for 10098 yards with 90 passing touchdowns and 17 interceptions. Lawrence also rushed for 943 yards with 18 rushing touchdowns. His great size and great arm strength are really a great asset to his game as Lawrence is a natural in the pocket and is poised in the pocket as well. Lawrence is very accurate throwing down the field and to short to intermediate routes. He also is very effective running with the football which is good with where he landed. Trevor Lawrence was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the 1st overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Lawrence lands with Urban Mayer whose offense relies on QB runs (RPOs and read options). The Jags will run a Spread offense which is the same one Lawrence ran at Clemson. Urban Myer ran 11 personnel (1 RB, 1 TE , 3 WR) on 76% of plays and on 87% of the QB was in the shotgun. In 3 years at Clemson Lawrence ran 11 personnel on 84% of plays and he was in the shotgun on 91% of plays.


Zach Wilson QB

New York Jets

Round 1 Pick 2 (2nd Overall)

Zach Wilson is a 6’2 210 pound Quarterback out of the Universe of Brigham Young. Wilson has spent three seasons at BYU. During his time at BYU Wilson completed 566 of 837 passes (68% completion rate) for 7652 passing yards with 56 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. He also rushed for 642 yards with 15 rushing touchdowns. While at BYU Wilson broke Steve Young’s single season completion percentage record of 73.5%. What Wilson lacks in size he makes up in being a playmaker at the highest level. He is very accurate in throwing to all spots on the field. Wilson when in the pocket is a magician in that he knows how to escape the rush similar to Russell Wilson. Zach Wilson was selected 2nd overall by the New York Jets in the 2021 NFL Draft. The Jets will have a QB friendly offense that runs play-action, role outs and short to intermediate throws. This is great news for Wilson as this will be a similar offense to the one he ran at BYU.


Kyle Pitts TE

Atlanta Falcons

Round 1 Pick 4 (4th Overall)

Kyle Pitts is a 6’6 244 pound Tight End out of the University of Florida. Pitts has spent three seasons at Florida. Pitts had 100 receptions for 1492 yards (14.9 yards per reception) with 18 receiving touchdowns while at Florida. He was the first TE to finish in the top 10 in 43 years of Heisman Trophy voting. Pitts also was the first TE from Florida to be drafted in the first round since 1960. Due to Pitts great size and athletic combo he is a matchup nightmare for defenses. He can lineup everywhere on the field and is equally effective. Pitts is most effective in the red zone and move-the-chains situations. Kyle Pitts was selected by the Atlanta Falcons with the 4th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Pitts joins a Falcons team that is 2nd in red zone pass attempts since 2019. Falcons new coach Arthur Smith is Top 3 in tight end fantasy points and targets share in 2020 as Titans OC. Smith also is Top 3 in TE red zone targets since 2020.


Ja’Marr Chase WR

Cincinnati Bengals

Round 1 Pick 5 (5th Overall)

Ja’Marr Chase is a 6’0 210 pound Wide Receiver our of Louisiana State University. Chase has spent two seasons at LSU. In his two seasons at LSU Chase had 107 receptions for 2093 (19.6 yards per reception) with 23 touchdowns. In 2019 Chase set a SEC record for receiving yards with 1780 yards. Chase may not be that big in stature but he plays like he is a bigger receiver. He has great hand-eye coordination which helps Chase be a sure-handed catcher of the football. Due to Chases great hands he makes the tough catches look routine. Ja’Marr Chase was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals with the 5th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Chase being selected by the Bengals reunite college teammates Ja’Marr Chase and QB Joe Burrow from LSU. While at LSU the Burrow to Chase connection was a historic one as they set record after record together.in Cincinnati Chase will play the X receiver position which is the role A.J. Green played for the Bengals for 10 seasons.


DeVonta Smith WR

Philadelphia Eagles

Round 1 Pick 10 (10th Overall)

DeVonta Smith is a 5’11 173 pound Wide Receiver out of the University of Alabama. Smith has spent three seasons at Alabama. During his time at Alabama Smith had 235 receptions for 3965 receiving yards (16.9 yards per reception) with 46 touchdowns. Smith holds the career SEC and Alabama record for touchdowns (46) and receiving yards (3965). He is the first WR to win the AP Player of the Year award. Smith also became one of 3 players in Alabama history to win the Heisman Trophy. Smith is not that big of a receiver but he makes up for that in that he is jet fast and silky smooth. Due to Smiths speed and smooth movement he is able to setup defenders to get open. Smith has Velcro like hands which means he is automatic when it comes to catching the football. DeVonta Smith was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles with the 10th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. The Eagles want to use fake handoffs to open up pass plays down the field and at the line of scrimmage.


Justin Fields QB

Chicago Bears

Round 1 Pick 11 (11th Overall)

Justin Fields is a 6’3 220 pound Quarterback out of the University of Ohio State. Fields has spent three seasons at OSU where he was 20-2 as a starter. Fields completed 423 of 618 (68.4% completion rate) for 5701 passing yards with 67 passing touchdowns and 9 interceptions. He also rushed for 1133 yards with 19 rushing touchdowns. Fields is a tremendous overall athlete who can buy time in the pocket with his legs. He is excellent running in short yardage and red zone rush situations. Fields has excellent arm strength and is very accurate on short to medium throws. Justin Fields was selected by the Chicago Bears with the 11th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. The Bears offense will be similar to the one that Fields ran at OSU. Last season the Bears were 8th in pass attempts and were 26th in QB fantasy points.


Najee Harris RB

Pittsburgh Steelers

Round 1 Pick 24 (24th Overall)

Najee Harris is a 6’2 230 pound Running Back out of the University of Alabama. Harris has spent four seasons at Alabama. During his time at Alabama Harris rushed for 3843 yards (6.0 yards per rush) with 46 rushing touchdowns. He also had 80 receptions for 781 yards with 11 touchdowns. Harris is Alabama’s all-time leader in total touchdowns 57 (46 rush, 11 receiving). He has an excellent size to speed combo as he is quick but hard to take down. Harris is an extremely patient runner who allows his blockers to open up holes. He also is an extremely efficient runner in the red zone and short yard opportunities. Najee Harris was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers with the 24th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Harris should get workhorse back type carries as Steelers coach Mike Tomlin likes to feature one back. Mike Tomlin gave 22+ touches per game to RB Le’Veon Bell every season Bell played in Pittsburgh.




Travis Etienne RB

Jacksonville Jaguars

Round 1 Pick 25 (25th Overall)

Travis Etienne is a 5’10 212 Running Back out of the University of Clemson. Etienne has spent four seasons at Clemson. While at Clemson Etienne rushed for 4952 yards (7.2 yards per rush) with 70 touchdowns. He also had 102 receptions for 1155 yards with 8 touchdowns. He holds the ACC all-time record in rushing yards with 4942 and rushing touchdowns with 70. Etienne also is the ACC all-time leader in total touchdowns with 78 (70 rush, 8 receiving) and average yards per play (7.2). Even though Etienne is slight of build he is a strong runner between tackles and is extremely hard to bring down. Etienne also is extremely quick and can start and stop on a dime but is an excellent red zone runner. Travis Etienne was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the 25th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Jags coach Urban Myer has mentioned using Etienne in a Percy Harvin-type role in the Jaguars offense. This means that Etienne will be used in every phase of the Jags offense.
