Play 'EM Bench 'EM RBs For Week 2

Play ‘Em

Jonathan Taylor

Indianapolis Colts vs

Minnesota Vikings

This may be the week for Jonathan Taylor to shine in the NFL. With Colts RB Marlon Mack out for the season with a torn Achilles means Taylor will get more opportunities to make plays in the run game. Taylor also gets to run behind one of the best if not the best offense line in football which does not hurt. The Vikings have given up 32.60 points per game to opposing RBs this season. They are the 26th ranked defense at defending the RB position.

Todd Gurly

Atlanta Falcons @

Dallas Cowboys

Last week the Cowboys defense lost LB Leighton Vander Esch to a broken collarbone which is good for Todd Gurly as the Cowboys were already thin at the LB position. Last week the Rams showed that you can run on the Cowboys defense as Malcolm Brown had 2 rushing touchdowns. The Cowboys have given up an average of 31.90 points per game to opposing RBs this season. They are the 25th ranked defense at defending the RB position.

Bench ‘Em

James Conner

Pittsburgh Steelers vs

Denver Broncos

It seems like we have heard this story before but James Conner has suffered an injury. He suffered a sprained ankle last Monday night versus the Giants. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said that the team is “leaving the light on” for Conners availability this week versus the Broncos. If Conner does play it may be a big risk playing his as he may aggravate the injury and leave the game. The Broncos have given up an average of 17.60 points per game to opposing RBs this season. They are the 8th ranked defense and defending the RB position.

Sony Michel

New England Patriots @ Seattle Seahawks

With the signing of QB Cam Newton this past offseason it has the potential to be really bad for Sony Michel. The reason is most of Michels value came from getting all the red zone rushes. With Cam  Newton in town the carries are going to go to Newton. Last week Cam had 5 rushes in the red zone with 2 of them going for touchdowns. The Seahawks have given up an average of 21.30 points per game to opposing RBs this season. They are the 12th ranked defense at defending the RB position.
