Play 'Em Bench 'Em TEs For Week 1

Play 'Em

1.Evan Engram New York Giants @ Dallas Cowboys

With how many targets that are available in the Giants passing game should be a positive for Evan Engrams value this season. In the area of the field he plays is good as Eli Manning likes to throw the ball quick and short. Last season the Cowboys gave up an average of 13.78 points per game to opposing TEs. They were the 26th ranked defense at defending the TE position.

2.Delanie Walker Tennessee Titians @ Cleveland Browns

With Delanie Walker missing all but one game last season you may have forgot how consistent he was. Since 2014 he has had at least 63 catches and 800 yards excluding last season when he was injured. He is one of Marcus Mariotas favorite targets as Mariota likes to only throw the ball to the short to intermediate routs where Walker plays. Last season the Browns gave up an average of 14.74 points per game to opposing TEs. They were the 31st ranked defense at defending the TE position.

Bench 'Em

1.David Njoku Cleveland Browns vs Tennessee Titians

If you have heard about all the moves the Browns made you would think they won the offseason. With all these moves this is bad for David Njoku as there are so many receivers for Baker Mayfield to get the ball to. Last season the Titians gave up an average of 8.91 points per game to opposing TEs. They were the 5th ranked defense at defending the TE position.

2.Jordan Reed Washington Redskins @ Philadelphia Eagles

Last season Reed was finally somewhat healthy but he was not good when he played. With Vernon Davis in the fold that hurts Reeds value as Davis takes away targets. Last season the Eagles gave up an average of 8.77 points per game to opposing TEs. They were the 3rd ranked defense at defending the TE position.
