Play 'EM Bench 'EM TEs For Week 3

Play ‘Em

Ian Thomas

Carolina Panthers @

Los Angeles Chargers

With the injury to Christian McCaffrey it may be a positive thing for Ian Thomas. There should be more targets to go around in the offense which should help Thomas. Panthers QB Teddy Bridgewater also likes to throw the ball short which is good for Thomas as he runs short to intermediate routes. The Chargers have given up an average of 17.10 points per game to opposing TEs this season. They are the 23rd ranked defense at defending the TE position.

Jack Doyle

Indianapolis Colts vs

New York Jets

With all the injuries on offense for the Colts that could mean more targets for Jack Doyle. Philip Rivers also likes to throw to the TE position which is good for Doyle’s value going forward. The Jets have given up an average of 15.05 points per game to opposing TEs this season. They are the 19th ranked defense at defending the TE position.

Bench ‘Em

Jordan Reed

San Francisco 49ers @

New York Giants

Last week Jordan Reed turned back the clock and looked like he did when he was one of the top TEs in the league. It may only last one week though as that was with George Kittle out. If Kittle were to return this week that would hurt Reeds value this week. The Giants have given up an average of 4.55 points per game to opposing TEs this season. They are the 5th ranked defense at defending the TE position.

Darren Waller

Las Vegas Raiders @

New England Patriots

Last week Darren Waller had a great game but this week he has a tougher matchup. He faces the Patriots who have a history of shut down the opposing teams best offensive player. The Patriots should do this to Waller as he is the Raiders best player on the offensive side of the ball. The Patriots have given up an average of 3.95 points per game to opposing TEs this season. They are the 4th ranked defense at defending the TE position.
