Week 10 Waiver Wire

Quarterback Alex Smith Washington Football Team

Sunday the Washington Football Team lost QB Kyle Allen for the season to a dislocated and fractured ankle versus the New York Giants. With the injury to Allen it opens up the door for Alex Smith to take over under center in the nations capital. Smith could be a solid QB option as he is very careful with the ball and does not turn the ball over that much. Alex Smith had 325 passing yards with 1  passing touchdown vs the New York Giants .That was 11.00 fantasy points and was good for the 23rd best  fantasy QB finish. Alex Smith is owned in 0.1% of fantasy leagues.

Running Back Duke Johnson Jr. Houston Texans

This past Sunday Texans RB David Johnson left the game versus the Jaguars with a concussion. With the injury to David Johnson it puts his availability for the Texans next game in question. If David Johnson were to miss this week it would be a great opportunity for Duke Johnson Jr. as he would get the bulk of the carries in the Texans backfield. Duke Johnson Jr. had 41 rushing yards with a touchdown and 4 receptions  for 32 yards vs the Jacksonville Jaguars. That was 15.30 fantasy points and was the 8th best fantasy RB finish this week. Duke Johnson Jr. is owned in 4.2% of fantasy leagues.

Wide Receiver Richie James San Francisco 49ers

Last week 49ers receiver Richie James really took advantage of his opportunities to make plays in the passing game. It also looked like he has the trust of 49ers QB Nick Mullins as he was the receiver that Mullins was just throwing the ball up for grabs to. The 49ers also have a lot of injuries in the pass game which means James should be a big part of the offense. Richie James had 9 receptions for 184 receiving yards with 1 touchdown versus the Green Bay Packers. That was 33.40 fantasy points and was the 1st best fantasy WR finish this week. Richie James is owned in 0.2% of fantasy leagues.

Tight End Jordan Reed San Francisco 49ers

It looks like Jordan Reed is going to be the starting TE for the 49ers for the rest of the season. The reason is starting TE George Kittle is most likely going to miss the rest of the season with a fracture in his foot. Reed should get plenty of targets as the 49ers are starting a backup QB for the rest of the season which should mean short quick passes to the TE position. Jordan Reed had 1 reception for 3 yards and 0 touchdowns vs the Green Bay Packers. That was 1.30 fantasy points and was the 44th best TE finish. Jordan Reed is owned in 29.3% of fantasy leagues.
